PGIMER 2022 result to come soon; check the course selection criteria

The PGIMER results for MSc / MSc MLT, OHS, fellowships / postdoctoral and doctoral fellowships. The courses will be available through the candidate’s login on the PGI website. Results will not be communicated individually by phone and applicants are requested not to contact the academic section for the same. The result can be checked by following the procedure below.

Step 1: Visit the official website – pgimer.edu.in.

2nd step: Scroll down to the “Information for Applicants” section on the website home page.

Step 3: When the results are announced, there will be a link to download the PGIMER result of the different courses.

Step 4: After clicking on the respective link, you will be redirected to the candidate login page for the respective course.

Step 5: Enter your login details; user ID and password.

Step 6: Then enter the captcha and click on the ‘Login’ button.

Step 7: You will be redirected to the results page.

The merit list for the different programs is prepared differently. The selection criteria for the different PGIMER programs are given below.

MSc / MSc MLT

A combined merit list will be established based on the percentage obtained by all applicants who presented themselves in the PGIMER 2022 test. Applicants who achieve the minimum cut-off percentage will be qualified for counseling / admission.

Domestic work (OSH)

The merit list will be established on the basis of the percentile score obtained by all candidates who took the exam. Applicants who achieve the minimum cut-off percentile will qualify for counseling / admission.

Fellowship / postdoctoral fellowship

A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates for this theoretical examination. Separate merit lists will be prepared for each subject and category of applicants.

Doctoral program

Applicants who achieve the minimum scores on the aptitude test and specialty-specific theory test (combined) will qualify for counseling / admission.

In order to qualify for admission / counseling, applicants from the General and Sponsored / MP categories who have participated in the MSc program will need to score a minimum of 50%, while OBC, SC / ST and PwBD applicants should score 45% . For MSc MLT courses, the minimum percentage is 50 percent.

Applicants who have taken the House Job Program (OHS) must achieve a minimum of 55th percentile if they are in the General category and 50th percentile if they are in the OBC, PwBD, SC / ST category.

Applicants who have applied for the doctoral program will have to obtain a minimum of 40 points if they belong to the General / OBC / Sponsored / FN category and 36 points if they belong to the SC / ST category.

The allocation of places for the various programs will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance test. However, for fellowships / postdoctoral fellowships, the final allocation of places will be made on the basis of a personal interview conducted by the selection committee selected by the institute.

Candidates 3 times the number of places available will be called at the time of the council. The selection for the program will not be finalized until after the counseling. In case of absence of a candidate at the time of the council, he will not be taken into account for the admission.

PGIMER 2022 is an entrance exam organized by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh for admissions to MSc / MSc MLT, House Job (Dentistry), Fellowships & Post Doctoral Fellowships and PhD programs. It’s a computer test. It includes multiple choice questions. All candidates shortlisted for admission to the particular course will be required to undergo a medical examination. A medical commission set up by the institute carries out this medical examination.
