ISRO will offer a free 5-day course in geospatial technology starting October 11


The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) offers a free five-day online course in geospatial technology for professionals and researchers. The course, “Geospatial contributions to enable the formulation of a master plan under the AMRUT sub-program”, is scheduled for October 11-15. Interested candidates can apply at elearning.iirs.gov.in.

Organized by the Indian Institute for Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun, the course is designed for professionals engaged in land use planning, students and researchers in urban and regional planning, geography, environmental studies, civil engineering, architecture, etc. will mainly concern the topic of geospatial modeling and applications for urban and regional areas.

Step 1. Go to the official ISRO website

Step 2. Click on the online applications link for “Geospatial inputs for the formulation of a master plan under the AMRUT sub-program”

Step 3. Fill in your name, email address and set a password

Step 4. An activation link will be emailed to you. Open this mail and click on the activation link.

Step 5. After activation, select the course “Geospatial inputs to enable the formulation of a master plan for the AMRUT subschema”. Select your registration method and provide your basic qualification. Click on Next.

Step 6. Fill in all your personal information and click Save and Continue.

Step 7. Provide your educational details and provide your business information.

Step 8. Preview the form before submitting it. Download and save for later use

ISRO Geospatial Technology Online Course: How to Participate

The course consists of five lectures in all, each lasting an hour and a half. The lectures can be followed through the IIRS e-class portal, Dehradun. Participants can also attend the course via the IIR YouTube channel. Here, the lectures can also be followed on the IIRS YouTube channel. Those attending the conference via YouTube will need to mark their attendance via an offline session that will be available 24 hours later. All participants who attend 70 percent of the course live through the e-class portal will receive the certificate of attendance.

ISRO Geospatial Technology Online Course: Course Content

The course will mainly focus on the planned development of urban areas. Course content will include a curriculum overview on the Atal Mission Program for Urban Rejuvenation and Transformation (AMRUT), geospatial technology, survey techniques and navigation systems, enabling a GIS-based master plan and an overview of policies for collecting, using and sharing geospatial data. in India.
