August’s “Stars of Tomorrow” themed event had superstar and itel brand ambassador, Olamide, waiting; a decision that further strengthened the itel brand as a brand for everyone.
The brand that produces smartphones, accessories, TVs and other devices is known for its Love Always On CSR initiative through which it reaches children and disadvantaged communities across the country.
The kid-centric event featured face painting, games and other fun activities that kids love. The highlight, however, was when Olamide ‘Baddo’ Adedeji told the students to dream big and not let their surroundings hold them back.
He said, ‘“I am a local kid who has chosen not to let his environment decide what he will become. Through hard work, dedication and prayers, you can achieve greatness. You can become whatever you want to become without let your past affect you It is good to find yourself a mentor.
“Make sure you’re focused. For some people success means power, money and education, everyone here should be able to have one of those things. Success is a function of the spirit. Never be pressured, always do your best.’‘
The smiles on the children’s faces showed once again that they had had fun with itel and Olamide.
