BitKE hosts the first crash course on blockchain and crypto for African journalists

Some time ago, we published an article debunking an article written by one of Kenya’s leading news houses, stating that over 4 million Kenyans own Crypto.

The article responded to this claim with facts and set the record straight.

The poorly reported article drew attention to the fact that most journalists do not know how to report on crypto and blockchain.

Even though the technology has been around for some time, getting credible information to report on is a task, and most journalists do not know where to find credible news resources or how to analyze existing data and information.

We understand that knowledge of crypto and blockchain has not been well distributed in Kenya and the rest of Africa, and that is why we decided to find a solution.

BitKE has partnered with CELO, the first mobile blockchain for emerging markets, to provide free education on how to report on Crypto and Blockchain to Kenyan journalists.
