VIJAYAWADA: The Department of School Education has amended previously released guidelines for marking teacher attendance through the school attendance app. The revised guidelines will be released on August 25. According to S Suresh Kumar, School Education Commissioner, teachers in public schools must mark their attendance every working day at school before 9 a.m.

A grace period of 10 minutes will be granted. Necessary provisions are made in the app to mark offline attendance for teachers facing network issues. Traffic will be captured and synced as the network becomes available.

Teachers, who do not have Android phones, can mark their attendance through the principal’s or other teachers’ cell phones. The user manual along with the detailed standard operating procedure (SOP) will be released later.
